A "Made by" badge for your website
Show who built it. A small floating badge that opens your projects, links, videos, socials and a signup form, on every site you ship. Or put the same profile on a page of its own.
See the badge in the corner of this page? That's one. Click it, or try a theme.
Live in about a minute
- 1
Start from your website
Paste your site: we fill in your name, photo, profiles, color and font. Then pick a theme and position.
- 2
Add your stuff
Projects with revenue, social links, a video or booking calendar, and a newsletter signup.
- 3
Paste one line
As a floating badge on every page, or your profile on one page. With an updatable badge, you never paste it again.
One profile, four ways to show it
Start simple and switch any time. Your code doesn't change if you publish an updatable badge.
Link badge
The simplest version: a "Made by" badge that links to your site, your X profile or your newsletter.
Profile popup
A mini profile with your photo, bio, projects with revenue, social links and a signup form. Like a link-in-bio, on every page you ship.
Page popup
Open any page that allows embedding, like your portfolio or booking page, in a popup without visitors leaving the site.
Profile on a page
The same profile as part of your Links or About page, or downloaded as a page of its own for your bio. It updates with your badge.
Small badge, done right
Update once, live everywhere
Publish an updatable badge and paste one line. Later changes go live on all your sites with one click.
Starts from your website
Paste your site and get a first draft: your name, photo, social profiles, brand color and font. No AI, no guessing.
Videos, calendars, forms
Paste a YouTube, Loom, Spotify, Calendly, Cal.com, Tally or Typeform link and it shows as a player or form in your profile.
Sits where you want
Any corner or edge, four sizes, or tucked flush into the corner. Always clear of iPhone notches.
Grow your audience
Collect signups with Tally, Kit, Beehiiv, MailerLite, Mailchimp or Substack, or send them to a webhook.
Looks like your site
Eight themes, your colors and fonts, and CSS variables for full control from your own stylesheet.
Tiny and fast
Around 10–17 KB compressed, no dependencies, loads after your page. The popup is only built when opened.
Private by default
No account and no tracking. Signups go straight to your tools. Updatable badges can't run scripts on your site.
Developer friendly
Isolated in a shadow root, styleable with ::part(), and a small API: MakerBadge.open(), close() and destroy().
Works with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
Or just ask your AI
Add Maker Badge to your assistant once. Then give it your website and say how it should look. It reads your site, makes the badge in your brand colors and helps you install it.
Setup for each assistantYou

Questions
What is Maker Badge?
Maker Badge is a free tool to create a small floating "Made by" badge for your website. A click opens a link, a mini profile with your projects, revenue, socials and a signup form, or another page in a popup. You build it visually and add it to your site with one line of code.
How do I add the badge to my website?
Create your badge in the editor, copy the code in the last step (Share) and paste the snippet just before the closing </body> tag of your site. It works on any site that allows custom code: plain HTML, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Ghost, Carrd, Next.js and more. There are step-by-step guides for each.
Can I change my badge after adding it to my site?
Yes. Publish it as an updatable badge and paste the short snippet once. Every later change goes live on all your sites with one click on "Update", without touching your site again. You can also use the self-contained snippet, which has no dependency on Maker Badge at all.
Do I need an account? Is it free?
No account and no payment. Your badge is saved in your browser, and you can share it as a link or export it as a file. Updatable badges are protected by a private edit key that stays in your browser. Signups from the form go straight to your own tools; Maker Badge never sees them.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The badge loads after your page, weighs about 10 to 17 KB compressed and has no dependencies. The popup is only built when someone opens it. It runs in its own shadow root, so your styles and its styles never clash.
Can I see how many people use my badge? Do you track visitors?
Updatable badges show views, opens and link clicks for the last 30 days in the editor. It is privacy-friendly: no cookies, no IP addresses and no visitor ids, only counts. Views are estimated from 1 in 10 visits to keep it light. Add data-stats="off" to the snippet to turn it off.
Can I customize how it looks?
Pick one of eight themes, then change colors, fonts, corners, size and position. Every style is a CSS variable, so developers can also restyle the badge from their own stylesheet, and style individual parts with ::part().
Can I show my profile on a page instead of in a popup?
Yes. In the Share step, pick "On a page" and paste the code where your profile should appear, like a Links or About page. It is the same profile as in the popup and updates with it. You can also download it as a page of its own and host it anywhere.
Can I show a video, booking calendar or form in the popup?
Yes. Add up to five embeds in the Content step and paste a link: YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Spotify, Calendly, Cal.com, Tally, Typeform, Google Forms and Figma links turn into the right player or form. Any other embed code works too, and each embed can go anywhere in the popup.
Can visitors sign up for my newsletter?
Yes. Paste the embed code from Tally, Kit, Beehiiv, MailerLite, Mailchimp or Substack, or use the built-in form and send signups to a webhook (Zapier, Make, n8n or Google Sheets).
Does it work on phones and for keyboard users?
Yes. On phones the popup opens full screen with large touch targets. It is a proper dialog: focus stays inside, Esc closes it and every control has a screen reader label.
Does it work with React, Vue, Next.js or Svelte?
Yes. The badge is plain JavaScript that renders outside your app, so it works with any framework. Add it to your index.html or root layout; there is no package to install.
Can an AI agent set it up for me?
Yes. Add madebybadge.netlify.app/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor as a connector, give it your website and describe the look you want: it reads your site, creates the badge and helps you install it. In the editor, "Copy prompt for your AI agent" gives coding agents your code plus exact install instructions.
Where does it not work?
Hosted pages that don't allow custom code, such as Notion pages, Linktree or social media profiles, can't show the badge.
